Virtualis Systems, Inc. was founded in 1996 by people who recognized the need for specialized hosting in two markets. First, the Web development and designer communities needed an all-inclusive host to manage their clients. Also, smaller-sized e-businesses needed tools to manage their Web presence and simple e-commerce solutions. Virtualis has created a way for both of these communities to thrive on the Web.
We are the first ASP/Web hosting company that targets small to medium-sized businesses with a complete site management and e-commerce solution. An ASP is a company who creates business software applications, and then makes the applications available on a subscription basis to other businesses. We have created software and e-commerce applications - HiRize™ and CartSnap™ - to offer our end users with their hosting packages a way to make their websites function smoothly.
Our Web hosting services are characterized by fast connectivity, security, reliability, and scalability. We have allocated major resources to ensure that we maintain leadership in customer service and support, software development, and a state-of-the-art network facility. A portion of these resources came in August of 1999, when we received venture capital funding from our investors. Our investors include Knight Ridder Venture Partners, Hambrecht and Quist, Adobe Ventures, and Garage.com among others.

From the start, Virtualis recognized that while hosting a website may be affordable, the technical knowledge required to manage a site made getting and staying online difficult for many small-business owners. This realization sparked the development of HiRize™, our revolutionary suite of Web-based tools that consists of twenty-two managers to effortlessly control all aspects of a website. These managers allow the average computer user to maintain a website with a few clicks of a mouse. Best of all, our HiRize™ software enables Web designers and developers to provide a complete Web solution for their own clients.
Bundled with HiRize™, and included free with all hosting options, is CartSnap™, our Web-based, online shopping cart and store manager. CartSnap™ is the most affordable, easy-to-use, and functional e-commerce software on the Web, allowing the user to create a virtual store, add products, and accept online payment, all in just a few minutes and with no programming required. The number one question of small businesses is: "How do I sell my product online cheaply, easily, and effectively?" CartSnap™ is the solution to this dilemma.
